Free Dragon Ball arcade fighting game in your browser: Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza, Gohan and Cell clash in the ring with ki blasts and special moves.

World Tournament is a one-on-one fighting game in the style of a 1990s arcade cabinet: pick your fighter, step into the ring and take two rounds out of three with punches, kicks, ki blasts and signature special moves. It runs in the browser on desktop and on phones, with nothing to install.
Game modes
- Arcade: you face every other fighter, one after another. Each opponent reacts faster than the last, attacks more, blocks more often and uses their special move more cleverly. Reach the end and you are the tournament champion; your best score is saved on this device.
- Versus CPU: a single match against the opponent of your choice, with four difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, Hard and Legendary.
Each round lasts 60 seconds. You win by knocking your opponent out (K.O.) or, when time runs out, by having more health left.
Controls
| Action | Keyboard | Touch |
|---|---|---|
| Move | Left and right arrows | ◀ ▶ |
| Jump | Up arrow | ▲ |
| Block | Hold the direction away from your opponent | ◀ or ▶ backwards |
| Punch | Z | PUNCH |
| Kick | X | KICK |
| Ki blast | C | Tap KI |
| Charge energy | Hold V | Hold KI |
| Special move | Space, or A and S together | SPECIAL, when it lights up |
Press P or Esc to pause and M to toggle sound. On phones you play in portrait: the arena sits at the top and the buttons in the strip at the bottom, right under your thumbs; the II button pauses.
Moves and tips
- Combo: if your first punch lands, press punch again and then kick for a three-hit string that sends your opponent flying.
- Ki: every ki blast costs some energy. The blue bar under your health refills slowly on its own, when you land or take hits, and above all while you hold the charge button. While charging, though, you are wide open.
- Special move: with a full bar (MAX flashes) unleash your fighter's strongest attack. Beams can be blocked, or dodged with a well-timed jump.
- Blocking: soaks up almost all the damage, beams included. Against the toughest CPU it is essential.
The fighters
| Fighter | Special move | Style |
|---|---|---|
| Goku | Kamehameha | Balanced, with the technique he learned from Master Roshi |
| Vegeta | Galick Gun | Slightly heavier hits, fast beam |
| Piccolo | Special Beam Cannon | Slower, but his spiralling beam hits hardest of all |
| Frieza | Death Beam | The fastest: his beam fires almost instantly but is thin |
| Gohan | Masenko | Nimble, using the technique Piccolo taught him |
| Cell | Kamehameha | The strongest, but slow to wind up |

Why the World Tournament
The stone ring is where Dragon Ball turned into the fighting manga we know: Goku loses two finals there and wins only the third, against Piccolo. Later on, Cell stages the Cell Games as his own version of the tournament. Here we put fighters on the same stage who never met like this in the series, such as Frieza against a young Gohan. The history, rules and editions of the real tournament are covered in our page on the World Martial Arts Tournament.
